I wonder if anyone could help me and suggest roughly the bowling speeds of our seamers.
I'm wondering if the likes of Taylor and Hankins are medium, fast medium or fast?

Somehow think that I am rather struggling to remain polite and therefore I will merely suggest that the above ontribution (ramble) has gone compleletly "off piste".
Great shame that "Snowy" abandoned us and that we are now left to drift along.
Anyway, in an attempt to get us back on topic.
I always thought that pace bowlers were aligned into 4 categories.......medium pace, medium fast, fast medium and fast. Additionally, I have always believed that anyone described as a seamer was a medium pace bowler.
Cricinfo have Matt Taylor down as being fast medium (similar to David Payne). Personally, I think that they are being rather generous to Matt. To me David Payne consistently appears the faster, perhaps capable of around 85 mph deliveries on a good day. Matt is probably around the 80 or low 80s mark, so only medium fast at best. The figures quoted are merely my best guess only, based solely on observation.
Of course, both bowlers appear noticeably faster at Cheltenham, compared to the normal slow Bristol tracks.
By reputation (rather than personal observation), Harry Hankins has been described as being medium pace. From photographs / film he certainly appears to have the natural build of a strong lad and I would rather suspect that our coaches will work with him to gradually develop a bit more pace as he grows older.
Of our other bowlers, Whittingham is apparently quick (great shame that we have not seen him in action). I remember a pre-season interview with Chris Dent in 2019, who smiled ruefully in admitting that the new signing had all the batsmen hopping around in discomfort when facing him in the nets.

Cheers Proc, similar to my own thinking. How about Shaw? He's looked similar to Taylor to my eye.
