Can we just finish the season now and hand the teams we are still to play 24pts?

Still want to give the points away after today?
Certainly not out of the woods but a good day for Glos CCC.

I suppose it could be said we gave away four bonus points. On balance the 20 point win was great, they don't come around that often at the County Ground.
Usual poor attendance for the final day. It seems regardless of the state of the game supporters just don't bother with the last day, regardless of what day of the week it falls on.

At the end of Day1, I was reminded of one of Boycotts regular quotes....."Never judge a pitch until both sides have batted on it". (I guess amongst the normal verbal drivel there will always be occasional gems which makes total sense).
Anyway, after we batted so comfortably in the second innings, rather pessimistic me was somewhat concerned. Would the normal unresponsive 4th day Bristol wicket merely see Leics ease their way to a draw. Thankfully, the clatter of wickets taken after we declared on Day 3 made the final day a non event. Great credit to the 4 bowlers for keeping Leics under pressure throughout both their innings.
Big challenge today against a strong Middlesex attack, particularly as they are seemingingly belatedly starting to find some CC form. I would be quite happy if we could repeat the draw that we managed at Lord's earlier in the season, even though this was partly aided by weather interruptions.
