Gareth Rodericks fifty one in the first innings against Kent possibly the most important moment of the game. Also shared in the second innings partnership of 75 with Howell.
Have possibly underestimated how good a player he actually is. A quick look at his first class average of just under 39 see's him well ahead of Spearman, Gidman, Dent and Hamish. Only a tiny fraction behind Klinger.
Plus the fact he is now keeping wicket means we get to play an extra batsman/ bowler.
In hindsight a big loss losing him for so long at the start of last season.

Rodders is a fine player. A gritty batsman and a superb athlete behind the stumps. If you look on YouTube/Twitter you will see some amazing catches over the years. The finger injuries he's had have been frustrating, but if you heard Dawson's post-game comments, or listened to Liam Norwell on commentary yesterday you will know how highly Glos rate him. His 50 was a match-winning innings and even better in the context of some very bowler-friendly conditions which have been reflected in the hilariously low scores around the country in this first round of matches.
